The Sr. Staff EHS Specialist develops, manages and helps operations implementation of company-wide health and safety compliance policies, standards and programs. 


Job Description:

 

 



-Supports the development of company-wide health and safety policy, standards and compliance programs;

-Provides health and safety direction, guidance and recommendations to company health and safety professionals and the operating divisions;

-Assist Operations in compliance with company policies and standards and Federal and state health and safety requirements;

-Consults with and advises management on health and safety matters;

-Supports the collection and analysis of health and safety performance data and trending for routine reports and regulatory documents;

-Supports incident investigation activities as necessary;

-Supports company health and safety programs including contractor safety, health and safety training, and office safety;

-Establishes priorities and strategies for the health and safety portion of s EHS programs;

-Interfaces with Federal and state agencies and industry trade groups associated with health and safety matters;

-Represents company at regulatory hearings and meetings;

-Supports company EHS compliance review programs and assists operations with process improvement efforts;

-Travel is required. 


Job Requirements:

 

 



Bachelor of Science degree in health and safety related field preferred (a minimum of 10 years EHS

professional experience in oil and gas EP may be substituted for degree)

Excellent presentation skills and oral and written communications skills required.

Must possess high-level skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

Requires ability to interact with wide range of company personnel.
