Summary:
The Account Executive, serving the K12 library market,is expected to travel throughout the assigned territory (MN WI MO KS IA) on a regular basis to visit customers and prospective customers to conduct in-person sales presentations. Only candidates currently living intheterritorywill be considered for this opportunity, no relocation assistance will be provided.
Responsibilities:
Manage sales call activities to prospective customers to present products; renew and retain existing business; cultivate new clients and business; produce proposals; respond to Request for Proposals; and close sales to drive revenue and sales growth in the territory. Support duties related to identifying prospective customers, and maintaining and growing business. Accurately manage pipeline reporting of sales activities through complete, timely sales forecasting, weekly/monthly reports, as required, and other administrative duties and reports as assigned. The Account Executive is expected to maintain a productive home-based office to support the management of the assigned sales territory.
Key duties include driving new business and sales, territory management, territory strategy and business plans, meeting and/or exceeding sales goals/objectives, all related sales presentations/proposals, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degreeand least 1-2 years of field sales experience required. Library sales experience and/or knowledge and insight into the library/education/reference field is preferred, but not required. Evidence of documented sales skill seminars, workshops, and professional development preferred. Account Executive must be self-motivated, and have a documented record of demonstrable, consistent sales and goal performance. Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required.Must be well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate project management skills, and complex sales transactions. Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with other team members, staff, customers and prospects. Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of technology, computer systems and networks. Must be competent with business machines required to operate a home based office email, PC, fax, copier, telephone, online conferencing.Ability to manage customer and account information with a CRM application (e.g. Siebel, ACT, Goldmine).
