A. Develops and monitors planned giving prospects

 Identifies, cultivates and solicits planned gifts from individuals 

 Analyzes donor reports to identify potential planned giving prospects 

 Identifies and cultivates prospects with Board of Directors, physicians and others. 

 Coordinates activities with other development initiatives. 

 Keeps expectancy records and administers gifts. 

 Coordinates all planned giving marketing materials including brochures, newsletters, Web sites, external and internal planned giving articles, etc. in collaboration with all planned giving staff. 

 Develops and coordinates all planned giving seminars and presentations in collaboration with all planned giving staff. 

 Recruits and serves as Foundation co-liaison with Estate Planning Steering Committees. 

 Recruits and serves as Foundation co-liaison with Professional Partners. 

 Prepares and submits contact reports and activity reports in a thorough and timely manner. Enters information into the donor database system on a timely basis. 

 Recognizes and continues stewardship with donors. 

 Works with other volunteers as needed. 

 Oversees and revises, as needed, all policies and procedures relating to planned gifts. 



Qualifications:

 Education: Bachelor, preferably a Masters Degree.

 Training/Experience: At lease three to five years of successful, verifiable experience in raising major gifts ($25,000+) through personal calling on individual donors with additional experience in securing grants from foundations and corporations or translatable experience in working with individual/corporate relationship building and contract negotiating. 

 Must have excellent speaking and writing skills and be able to make successful public presentations. Must be available for occasional travel throughout the state of Florida.

 Competencies: Prefer demonstrated knowledge of fundraising, health care, and business community.

 Minimum of 3 years experience in supervision, administration, or management of donor and financial records, or related field. 

 Computer skills required for word processing, spreadsheet, and accounting information system software. 

 Prefer experience in health care environment. 

 Prefer knowledge of philanthropy.
