Our Tampa, FL team is currently looking for a dynamic Transportation Engineer. As an integral member of our team you will be responsible for working with a team of engineering professionals in delivering solutions for various transportation projects. Candidates must be willing to work in a proactive team environment, mentor junior team members, and assist senior team members with delivering design and operational solutions to complex highway projects. The selected candidate will work on traffic operational analysis, ITS design and program development, highway design, and highway safety projects. The project assignments will result in a steadily increasing level of complexity and responsibility. Project role will also include tracking of task budgets and progress, coordination with task leaders and project managers, coordination with cross-discipline plan components, and client interaction. The new team member must demonstrate a strong background in all conventional aspects of traffic engineering and design. Assignments will have clear and specific objectives, including schedule, budget and expected work product. In addition to project assignments, the candidate will be expected to work on proposals and contribute to client relationships and business development efforts.

 Basic Qualifications Requires a minimum of 8 years of relative experience with BS or MS degree in transportation engineering and eligible to become registered in Florida as a PE. 

Design experience using CADD software is preferable, particularly Microstation. Experience with the following traffic engineering packages will also required: HCS (Highway Capacity Software); -Simulation Packages (CORSIM, Synchro, etc.); and Traffic Signal Timing Packages (TRANSYT 7-F, PASSER, etc.).
If not a U.S. citizen, applicant must have a non-academic Visa which will permit him or her to work for any employer.

 Preferred Qualifications ITS background desired. The candidate must have a strong technical background in traffic and transportation engineering. The ideal candidate will also have strong written and oral communication skills. Additional software skills from related disciplines are also a plus.
